Position Overview:

The planner will be responsible for producing and maintaining production schedules to assure on-time production of quality products at most competitive cost, with minimum inventory investments.

What you will do:

Responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for specified areas and interfacing directly with production to produce and/or re-schedule orders based on demand and customer need.

Utilize reports that are generated daily to show inventory on hand and the 15-to-30-day demand for manufactured products.

Work in conjunction with purchasing and other schedulers to assure efficient and timely delivery of components and receiving to help expedite incoming goods and other goods produced in-house.

Cooperate with quality, research, engineering, and other departments in the development of equipment and product specification and substitute materials.

Communicate with management and various departments all backorders.

Perform other related duties as assigned or required. Skills for

Success:

AA/AS or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and effective interpersonal skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

PC proficient with such programs as MS Word, Excel, and QAD. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and set priorities. Position requires an ability to function with a sense of urgency while maintaining participative environment and positive attitude.
