The Dallas operation supports high-precision CNC machining and advanced manufacturing for critical industries where quality, repeatability, and speed are essential. We support customers across aerospace, defense, energy, space systems, robotics, satellites, drones, nuclear technologies, and other advanced industrial sectors that require highly controlled manufacturing processes and rigorous quality systems.
The Production Planner will be responsible for transforming customer demand and manufacturing requirements into executable production plans that maximize on-time delivery, machine utilization, factory throughput, and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, manufacturing capacity, contractual delivery requirements, and available resources.
Monitor machine capacity, labor availability, material readiness, and production constraints to proactively identify bottlenecks and prevent schedule disruptions.
Coordinate closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Order Management teams to ensure jobs are released only when production prerequisites are available.
Monitor schedule adherence, manufacturing progress, and customer delivery commitments while implementing recovery plans when production delays occur.
Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on production flow, capacity utilization, lead time reduction, schedule stability, and operational performance.
Required and Preferred QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, routing structures, manufacturing lead times, and production control methodologies.
Hands-on experience utilizing ERP and MRP systems to manage production schedules, work orders, planning parameters, and factory capacity.
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze production performance, forecast capacity requirements, and generate operational reports.
Nice to have experience within CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing, defense manufacturing, precision manufacturing, finite capacity scheduling, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, AS9100 environments, APICS certification, or new product introduction planning.
