Position Summary The Make Ready is responsible for the efficient and timely preparation of apartment units to be re-leased, by performing turn of all vacant units, while meeting established quality standards. Responsibilities Follows the make-ready checklist to complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in, as directed by the Supervisor or manager Inspects sheetrock and makes repairs; caulks and seals windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers; and performs touch-up paint Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for make-ready tasks Cuts expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts, and avoiding being wasteful with supplies Assists with property curb appeal by picking up trash, pressure-washing, performing general cleaning, and painting, as needed Complies with safety and risk-management policies by participating in the safety meetings, OSHA training, and other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately Delivers a high level of customer service by treating residents and others with respect and completing assigned work with efficiency and urgency Performs other duties, as assigned Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field, preferred General knowledge in a variety of skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, and maintenance, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready HVAC experience a plus but not required Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines Good organizational skills and attention to detail
