Position Summary:

The CNC Production Planner is responsible for planning and controlling production in designated manufacturing for the CNC Department that reduces inventories, lead times, and throughput times in a daily manner; Making sure that the material flow and the capacity planning supports our sales plan and rolling 12-month calendar; Making decisions and guiding the logistics process in accordance with current goals, plans, budgets, and authority rules.

Academic Requirements:

High-School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Other Requirements:

Ability to pass standard criminal background check - no convictions for any crime of violence; cannot be on registered offender list. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen. Ability to work on site. Must be ITAR compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for short-term CNC production planning in Traverse or in an equivalent ERP/computer system. Make daily and short-term plans for capacity utilization and follow up according to the established planning systems. This goes for all equipment, to ensure a steady flow of products. Set lead-times for our finishing production to hit DOT requirements set by our customers. Manage internal orders for products from our Sales or Operations companies all around the world. This includes, amongst other things, to monitor E-com and work with order acknowledgements. Keep up with production run times and cycle times of orders to ensure that productivity is at it's highest. Create necessary paperwork for production and production reporting. Monitor and suggest changes to ensure reliable and correct production reporting. Create visibility for material needs from Finishing department to CNC department. Be the first line support to Sales Support for all CNC production needs. Process change orders from Sales Support. Perform other functions and duties, as required by the Master Scheduler. Function as a stand-in / cross-trained support for anyone not present in the Logistic department. Other duties as assigned. Experience:

2 years of experience in Supply Chain and/or work experience from equivalent position for at least 3-5 years. Experience in manufacturing operations; such as MRP/ERP systems for scheduling, 5S, and Lean. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Hands-on experience working with physical inventories. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to comprehend and abide by all company policies and Health & Safety requirements.
