This role focuses on short- to mid-term planning, aligning production capacity with customer demand, and supporting operational efficiency through MRP, production control, and effective work order creation and management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed short-term production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels, incorporating detail scheduling principles. Utilize MRP systems to align material availability with production requirements and ensure schedule feasibility. Create and manage work orders to support production plans and monitor progress throughout the workflow. Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure schedule adherence and resolve bottlenecks or delays. Monitor daily production progress and report schedule impacts, escalating issues as needed. Analyze capacity constraints and recommend solutions to optimize throughput and maintain production control. Communicate schedule changes and priorities to stakeholders clearly and promptly. Track and report KPIs related to schedule adherence and efficiency. Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and tools. Collaborate with teams to analyze inventory levels and product demand to determine schedules that ensure product availability while minimizing inventory costs. Improve forecasting tools and procedures through innovative ideas and projects. Assess material availability and production schedule impacts that may affect demand beyond the current plan. Other duties as assigned to support production efficiency and workflow.Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field. 4+years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
