Permits Clerk Position Summary As a Permits Clerk at Lone Star Transportation, you will coordinate pilot car arrangements for permitted oversize and overweight loads. You will collaborate with drivers, internal team members, and pilot car companies to support accurate and timely travel arrangements. This position reviews and processes pilot car invoices and verifies that required documentation is complete and accurate. The role requires effective communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage changing priorities and competing deadlines. Your Responsibilities Pilot Car Coordination // Collaborate with drivers and internal team members to arrange pilot car services for permitted loads Service Arrangements // Assist pilot car companies with the information and arrangements needed to support oversize and overweight load travel Invoice Processing // Review, approve, and process pilot car invoices for payment Document Verification // Verify that required paperwork is accurate, complete, and submitted for pilot car coordination Operational Support // Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor or management Your Skillset Time Management // Ability to prioritize work and manage competing deadlines and changing priorities Communication // Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and external service providers Problem Solving // Ability to evaluate complex issues and identify practical solutions Sound Judgment // Ability to make thoughtful and appropriate decisions while coordinating transportation services Attention to Detail // Ability to maintain accuracy when reviewing invoices, paperwork, and service information Collaboration // Ability to build rapport and work productively with a diverse range of individuals Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent, and no prior related experience is required. An equivalent combination may be considered. Time Management // Demonstrated ability to manage individual workloads in an environment with competing deadlines and changing priorities Communication Skills // Demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals while maintaining professional rapport Problem Solving // Proven ability to solve complex problems and exercise sound judgment Schedule Availability // Ability to work rotating Saturdays when required Preferred Qualifications One (1) year of experience in transportation or an office environment. Transportation Experience // Experience working in the transportation or logistics industry Office Experience // Experience working in a professional office environment Administrative Support // Experience reviewing documentation, coordinating services, or processing invoices Salary and Schedule Salary // Pay will be competitive and based on experience Schedule // This position is located in Fort Worth, TX and is on-site.
