Job Summary
This is an entry-level or starting tier position requiring little to no prior professional experience, workers learn required skills on the job. Quality Clerk assists Director of Quality Systems to maintain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) technical data, required records, and airworthiness documents. In addition, assists Logistics Department to receive parts and materials, monitor/manage tool calibration, monitor/manage controlled materials (chemical) identification and shelf-life limits.
Client environment is dynamic, setting with continuous action, rapid tasks, constant communication, and frequent, sometimes sudden, changes in priority. Skills needed to thrive include strong time management, organization, adaptability, communication, resilience, self-motivation.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving:
Process incoming parts and materials, ensure receiving documentation is complete and processed appropriately for distribution to work center
Research aircraft records for Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs), update or create compliance logs as necessary
Data Entry:
Enter operational and maintenance data into multiple company databases and spreadsheets
Technical Data Control:
Maintain current revisions of technical manuals and review maintenance tracking software for link accuracy
Records Management:
Scan hardcopy aircraft and component records, then upload files to company servers and MRO tracking systems
Work Order Processing:
Create, process, close, and finalize work orders, review part documentation, and assist with maintenance record entries
Recordkeeping:
Ensure required records are complete and accurate; this includes traceability of parts and calibration of precision measuring equipment and test apparatuses
Safety Adherence:
Assist with inspection of repair environments ensuring safety and compliance with established safety rules, regulations, and protocols to prevent hazards and harm
Maintain market reputation for quality and safety in eyes of FAA and Customers
Reliable, requiring minimal supervision for routine tasks
Clear and timely communication with colleagues, customers, and management, both verbally and in writing, essential in preventing maintenance/logistic delays and/or delays in scheduled deliveries
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required - Vocational coursework with 1 to 2 years of related administrative or records management experience preferred
Experience:
Entry-level - 1 to 2 years related administrative or records management experience preferred. Substitution of related education and experience demonstrating ability to perform functions may be considered in writing
Required Skills:
Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliable time management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - clear and timely communication verbally and in writing
Professional work ethic is mandatory
Independence - reliable, requiring minimal supervision for routine tasks
Other:
Must hold valid driver's license
Be able to operate pallet jacks, forklifts and other material handling equipment
