Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Distribution Assistant to join our Circulation team. In this role, you will work alongside a District Manager providing superior delivery service to subscribers and nonsubscribers that are scheduled to receive products handled by the Hearst Community Media Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Recruit qualified individuals as independent home delivery and/or single copy contractors. 2. Responsible for delivery for a defined group of carriers (subject to change). 3. Assume delivery responsibilities for open routes. 4. Contact customers with service-related problems; resolve in a timely and permanent manner. 5. Ensure compliance with independent contractor agreement; recommend corrective action for violations. 6. Regularly communicate progress and problems to supervisor. 7. Prepare requested reports in a timely and accurate manner. 8. Ensure that the distribution center is maintained in a safe, secure, and clean manner. 9. Other essential duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Skills, Licenses, Certification, and Education Required:
1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 2. Basic Computer Skills 3. Ability to work a flexible schedule 4. Reliable transportation, valid Texasdriver's license, and proof of auto liability insurance. 6. High School Diploma or GED required.

The Hearst Community Media Group Midland Reporter Telegram is responsible for publishing a newspaper five days a week. A normal work week may consist of five, six or seven days. Saturdays are considered normal workdays. The standard workday schedule of hours may vary depending on the workload. An assignment to an area or job does not constitute a permanent status of assignment. Changes in work assignments will be determined by supervisors, with approval of the Department Manager.
