Responsibilities:

Capable to resolve trouble issues within your operation. Managing a fleet of local drivers Managing the freight chain from customers request to delivery in an efficient and cost effective manner. Working with our regional managers to ensure the best timely customer service is given to our customers. Taking orders from customers via email and phone, negotiating competitive rates, providing proper documentation and ensuring delivery schedules within an expedited time-frame. Following up to ensure deliveries are on schedule according to the plans. Expediting as necessary to ensure customers transportation requirements are taken care of. Determining the best way to ship, negotiating rates and providing all the necessary documentation. Strong knowledge of piecing together cargo on a flatbed trailer, setting up permits and equipment necessary to haul the customer's cargo. Managing the companies trucking software program to ensure it is kept up in real time. Loading and unloading freight with forklift Working with Pinch drivers to ensure they follow company and DOT safety rules
