Required Degree:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Required Experience:
10+ years of legal experience, including both law firm and/or in-house corporate counsel experience. Travel %: Ability to travel up to 20% Requirements/Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. Active member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas. 10+ years of legal experience, including both law firm and/or in-house corporate counsel experience. Minimum 5 years of in-house corporate counsel experience supporting commercial business operations. Extensive experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including transportation, warehousing, procurement, technology, and customer service contracts. Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate law, commercial transactions, labor and employment law, litigation management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. Demonstrated experience advising executive leadership on legal risk, strategic business initiatives, and corporate transactions. Experience managing litigation, claims, regulatory matters, and outside counsel. Proven ability to balance legal risk with business objectives while providing practical, solution-oriented legal advice. Exceptional contract drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity, professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.
