Shipping & Logistics Coordinator Location:
Port Arthur, TX Pay:
$20-$24/hour,DOE Schedule:
Full-Time Openwork is hiring a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to support daily shipping operations at a Port Arthur facility. This position is responsible for coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring DOT requirements are followed.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate late or missed shipments with customers and Customer Service.
- Prepare and email shipping paperwork, including COAs, to customers and drivers.
- Weigh in/weigh out trucks and ISO containers.
- Audit shipping paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and GMP compliance.
- Update rejected loads and track demurrage, scheduling charges, and logistics fees.
- Verify inventory and tank space availability.
- Maintain placard and shipping sticker inventory.
- Ensure DOT regulations are followed for each shipment.
- Assist with training loaders and other administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- DOT Certification required.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.
- Must be punctual, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including FRC uniform, hard hat, safety-toe boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.
