Job Description
Job Overview The Shipping Operator requires a high degree of consistency and attention to detail. Prerequisites are the ability to follow instructions using efficient, safe work procedures, good communication skills, basic computer literacy and proficiency in product identification. This person must also be dependable in attendance and performance and exhibit an ability to satisfy our customer's product requirements. Duties Printing sales orders, pick tickets, and all necessary documentation relevant to warehousing Printing all necessary documentation relevant to shipping and review for accuracy Identify correct product(s) to fill pick ticket(s) Correct allocation of products to Sales Orders Identify customer requirements (i.e. Shelf Life requirement, DOM approval, etc..) Communication with Distribution team and other departments to ensure customer requirements are being met Assist distribution team with cycle counts in X3 Complete inventory moves in X3 Establish proficiency in shipping non-hazmat and hazardous shipments via all modes of transportation Establish proficiency in final packaging to fulfil orders via customer requirements. Interdepartmental communication to ensure customer information is being provided in a timely manner Establish proficiency in return shipment review and provide corrective actions to ensure replacement shipment is correct Establish proficiency with different logistic software platforms Maintain professional communication with freight forwards on behalf of Socomore and our customers Undertake other duties which may be delegated by Management Skills A minimum of a high school degree. Less education will be acceptable with previous work experience or military service Must learn and comply with all applicable parts of our AS9100 Quality Management System Responsible for assigned 6S area Forklift certification required (training and certification provided by Socomore)
