We're looking for someone who notices problems early, communicates clearly, and follows every issue through to resolution. You should not be reminded that a shipment is late, a carrier is underperforming, or freight costs are trending in the wrong direction. This role requires strong analytical skills. You must be comfortable reviewing freight costs and carrier performance, then walking into the warehouse to understand why a process is creating shipping exceptions. Job Duties We are a small company so you likely to wear more than one hat. In addition to the primary duties outlined below you are likely to be assisting in office and building management. Routing FTL and LTL shipments, while working closely with operations & customer service Making & tracking delivery appointments Handling & resolving delivery exceptions/delays and customer inquiries Communicating load delays/exceptions to shippers & receivers Negotiate carrier rates, contracts, accessorial charges, and service agreements and manage carrier relationships Audit freight invoices and challenge billing errors or charges that do not match negotiated agreements Manage domestic small-parcel shipments to consumer customers, ensuring accuracy, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery Required experience, skills, and education Bachelor's degree & minimum 2 years logistics experience required Hands-on experience with parcel carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, or regional providers Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and Excel required) Experience in FTL and LTL planning. Positive team player Strong customer service & communication skills Well organized & detail orientated Ability to work in a fast pace, stressful environment Decision making & problem-solving skills
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
