Position Summary The IL Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating international cargo shipments. This role focuses on freight visibility, system monitoring, and freight quote review and approval for international shipments, Drayage. What You'll Do Monitor inbound cargo shipments from Asia using the company's freight management system, tracking container status, vessel schedules, ETAs, and key shipment milestones. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely shipment movement and resolve transportation exceptions. Review, validate, and approve freight quotations, invoices, and payments while ensuring freight costs and shipment data are accurately recorded in NetSuite. Prepare, review, and maintain import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other customs compliance documents. Schedule, coordinate, and track inbound and outbound shipments via ocean, air, truck, and rail to support on-time delivery. Proactively identify and escalate shipment delays, vessel rollovers, customs issues, and freight cost discrepancies to management. Partner with Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations teams to support inbound planning, inventory availability, and logistics reporting. Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation carriers, communicating shipment status, timelines, and issue resolution. Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. Analyze logistics performance and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, improve cost visibility, and reduce transportation expenses. What You'll Bring Required Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in international logistics, import coordination, or supply chain operations. Hands-on experience using NetSuite ERP. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis. Strong understanding of international shipping documentation, customs regulations, and Incoterms. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones.
