Job Description
Part-Time Position at Our House of Tooele Assisted Living Our House of Tooele is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and responsible Part-Time Transportation Specialist to join our team! The Transportation Specialist plays an important role in helping our residents get where they need to go safely and comfortably. This position will transport residents to medical appointments, therapy, shopping trips, errands, activities, outings, and other destinations as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors, is a safe and attentive driver, and understands the importance of providing patient, respectful, and compassionate service. Responsibilities Safely transport residents to and from appointments, activities, shopping, errands, and other destinations. Assist residents safely in and out of the vehicle as needed. Provide friendly, respectful, and compassionate assistance throughout each trip. Ensure residents arrive at their destinations safely and on time. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized transportation vehicle. Complete required transportation logs and documentation. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company transportation policies. Communicate with the care team regarding transportation schedules and resident needs. Help coordinate transportation schedules and communicate any changes or delays. Be attentive to residents' comfort, safety, and individual needs. Assist with other duties within the community when transportation needs are not scheduled. What we're looking for Previous experience working with seniors, in healthcare, assisted living, customer service, or a similar environment is preferred. Valid Driver's license and a safe driving record. Ability to meet company and insurance requirements for driving residents. Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Patient, friendly, and compassionate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable assisting seniors with different mobility needs. Able to maintain professionalism and patience in a variety of situations. Ability to work independently and manage transportation schedules effectively. Team-oriented and willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
