Job Description

Asset Recovery Specialist Position Summary The Asset Recovery Specialist is responsible for managing assigned accounts throughout the asset recovery and remarketing lifecycle, from repossession assignment through vehicle sale. This position works closely with repossession vendors, auctions, internal departments, and other business partners to ensure vehicles are recovered, transported, titled, prepared for sale, and processed accurately and eƯiciently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to eƯectively manage a high-volume workload with competing priorities. Strong communication, teamwork, accountability, and a willingness to learn are essential to success in this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Manage assigned accounts throughout the full asset recovery lifecycle from repossession assignment through post-sale processing.  Assign vehicles for repossession and maintain appropriate follow-up with recovery vendors to monitor progress and address delays or issues.  Monitor and follow up on impounded vehicles, coordinating recovery eƯorts and assignments as appropriate.  Coordinate transportation of recovered vehicles to designated auction locations.  Monitor vehicles through the auction process, including title status, holds, vehicle condition, and other items necessary to prepare vehicles for sale.  Coordinate with auctions, vendors, and internal departments to ensure vehicles progress eƯiciently from recovery through sale.  Complete post-sale responsibilities, including tracking and reconciling auction proceeds and reviewing applicable invoices.  Maintain accurate and timely account documentation, inventory records, and system updates throughout the recovery and remarketing process.  Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.  High attention to detail and commitment to accurate, timely work.  Ability to work eƯectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.  Receptive to coaching and feedback with a willingness to learn new responsibilities, processes, systems, and procedures.  Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.  Ability to exercise sound judgment, problem-solve, and escalate issues appropriately.  Comfortable learning and working within multiple software platforms.
