Job Description

Materials Management:
The Materials Control Assistant participates in a variety of material control duties including receiving, verifying, storing, issuing, shipping of supplies/materials, mail movement and distribution of material to point of use locations.
Cardiovascular Group:
The Materials Control Assistant participates in a variety of material control duties involving receiving, verifying, storing, issuing and shipping of supplies, materials and equipment. This position also processes incoming and outgoing mail and may make deliveries as needed.
Required Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
Required License:
For Materials Management positions - Valid Virginia State Drivers License.
Salary Range:
$15.90 - $22.26 / Hour Receives, unpacks shipments and verifies contents against receiving documents/purchase orders; reports any shortages, overages, items received wrong or without packing slips or P.O. numbers and damaged materials received. Notes lot numbers and expiration dates Transports and transfers supplies and/or equip., and fills orders on scheduled days Restocks storeroom shelves as supplies are received, rotates stock. Maintains inventory accuracy Replenishes all medical surgical items in point of use locations Makes courier deliveries Completes weekly inventory count on all assigned point of use locations Reviews and recommends par level adjustments in relation to inventory movement at point of use locations Reviews weekly all point of use locations for cleanliness and expired materials Works with Point of Use systems for ordering purposes Processes ingoing and outgoing mail Prepares Fed Ex and UPS packages Greets vendors and receives deliveries Responds to inquiries concerning shipments, mail, office supplies, etc. Orders office supplies and maintains appropriate inventory Issues asset tags and monitor asset inventory Keeps warehouse in presentable condition; tears down boxes and keeps deliveries and inventory moving Follows all appropriate confidentiality rules and regulation Transports items to and from various locations, ensuring proper care of items handled during transport Ensure that the documentation corresponds to each item Ensure that all documentation is credible and accurate Ensure the punctual collection and delivery of medical items from healthcare facility Ensure that recipients sign delivery receipts and designations are verified Accurately count and take inventory of medical items to be collected or delivered May perform other duties as assigned or requested
