Position Description:
Join a dynamic team as a Mail Logistics Coordinator I, responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of inbound and outbound mail and packages across the Merrifield campus. This critical role involves coordinating internal mail, managing express shipments, maintaining detailed records, and supporting overall mailroom operations. You will work closely with internal departments and external delivery services to streamline mail handling, enhance operational efficiency, and uphold organizational security standards. Tackle time-sensitive projects, troubleshoot delivery issues, and contribute to a well-organized, professional mail environment, all while providing exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include processing incoming and outgoing mail, utilizing tracking systems for chain of custody documentation, researching routing solutions, maintaining security protocols for controlled forms, and supporting campus signage and logistics. Responsibilities:
Receive, sort, and deliver all inbound USPS and express correspondence across campus
Coordinate the pickup and transportation of outbound mail and packages to shipping areas
Use internal tracking systems to document and manage mail chain of custody
Respond promptly to mail inquiries and troubleshoot delivery issues
Maintain security and accurate inventory of controlled forms and secured items
Support campus signage placement and assist with training new team members
Conduct research to re-route mail and verify address information as needed
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth mail operations
Assist with special projects involving time-sensitive or critical shipments
Perform regular checks and maintenance of campus mail rooms and issue areas
Top Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience managing mailroom or office logistics operations
- Proficiency with courier software (FedEx, USPS, UPS) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
