How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:
The Distribution Center Technician provides and manages the medical supplies and equipment necessary to support patient care across departments. Ensures continuity of operations by distributing supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting supply chain processes within the Carilion system. Works closely with management and other inventory locations to ensure efficient delivery and availability of supplies and equipment. Maintains clean and organized storage areas and utilizes basic hardware and software systems to support daily operations. The Distribution Center Technician Performs replenishment of stocked supplies to ensure sufficient availability. Accomplishes timely, accurate, and efficient picking and staging of requisitions. Performs requisitioning, inspecting, receiving, and stocking of inventory items to maintain appropriate par levels. Assembles, repackages, or replenishes kits, components, and carts. Performs regularly scheduled pickups and deliveries of medical equipment to ensure availability where required. Operates computers, computerized equipment, and peripherals. In addition, operates materials handling equipment in the performance of job duties, including assembling, disassembling, and labeling shelving and storage units. Monitors supplies for proper labeling, expiration dates, and integrity of packaging. Interacts with Carilion units, outside vendors, and others impacting CCMOB operations. Actively participates in departmental staff meetings and communicates business matters to the Director, MM Operations, and other management staff as appropriate. Attends CCMOB daily operational status meetings.
What We Require:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Experience handling medical supplies and equipment preferred. Experience with inventory requisitioning, stocking, and order picking preferred. Licensure, Certification, and/or
Registration:
Valid Virginia driver's license preferred with a positive driving record.
Other Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent communication and computer skills. Ability to respond in crisis situations in a calm and collected manner. Ability to perform effectively in a continually changing environment. Compensation Range:
$15.00 - $21.07 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
