Develops order schedules, tracks shipments and deliveries, cultivates relationships with suppliers, monitors supply quality; may supervise warehouse operations and staff.

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to support daily logistics operations within a fast-paced Mixing Center and distribution environment. This role combines hands-on logistics coordination with team leadership. The Logistics Supervisor will help oversee the movement of materials and shipments, coordinate workflow between transportation, warehouse, and Mixing Center operations, maintain accurate system records, and ensure daily logistics activities are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse or distribution operations, TMS systems, and team supervision. Key Responsibilities Provide daily supervision, direction, and support to logistics team members. Coordinate workflow and task execution throughout the assigned operation. Support the movement of inbound and outbound materials associated with Mixing Center operations. Coordinate with warehouse, Mixing Center, transportation, and dispatch teams to maintain an efficient flow of materials and shipments. Assist with load scheduling, staging, shipment tracking, and transportation coordination. Monitor and verify accurate entries within TMS/TruckMate or related transportation systems. Maintain accurate logistics documentation, records, and supporting paperwork. Communicate with carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and internal departments regarding shipment and operational needs. Help prioritize loads and material movement based on daily production and operational requirements. Monitor workflow and identify delays, errors, or operational issues that could impact the movement of materials. Troubleshoot routine transportation and logistics issues and escalate concerns when necessary. Ensure employees follow established logistics, safety, and operational procedures. Coach and support employees while helping maintain productivity and performance standards. Provide coverage and operational support when staffing or business needs require it. Maintain a professional, organized, and positive work environment.
Qualifications Required:
2-4 years of related experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, dispatch, or a similar operation. Previous supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for shipment tracking, load processing, or transportation activities. Understanding of DOT regulations, vehicle weight capacity, and load requirements. Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify operational errors and take appropriate corrective action. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively coordinate with employees, carriers, drivers, management, and other departments. Ability to lead and support a diverse workforce. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and additional shifts when operationally necessary.
Preferred:
Experience within a Mixing Center, warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, food distribution, 3PL, or transportation environment. Experience with TruckMate, PC•Miler, Fleetmatics, Roadnet, or similar transportation/logistics systems. Experience coordinating material flow between warehouse, production, and transportation teams. Bilingual communication skills. Additional education or coursework in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. Education High School Diploma or GED required. Additional education or relevant professional experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and directly related experience may be considered. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to walk throughout a warehouse, Mixing Center, or distribution environment. Ability to climb stairs. Ability to work in areas with varying temperatures.
