Position Summary:
The Logistics Specialist III is the senior-level Specialist, whose primary function is to assist with biomedical repair. In addition to performing all duties of the Logistics Specialist I and II, this role evaluates out-of-service devices, monitors the Service Desk in Operative IQ (OIQ), diagnoses and repairs equipment within their scope of training, and thoroughly documents all repairs. The Specialist III also supports controlled-substance oversight and serves as a point of guidance for the logistics team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all duties of the Logistics Specialist I and II, including stocking, inventory, vehicle inspections, supply forecasting, and the stocking, handling, and documentation of medications and controlled substance boxes. Assist with biomedical repair, including evaluating out-of-service devices and determining the appropriate course of action. Monitor the Service Desk within Operative IQ (OIQ) and respond to equipment repair requests. Diagnose and repair equipment within their scope of training, and accurately and thoroughly document all repairs in Operative IQ (OIQ). Serve as a working lead, coordinating and prioritizing daily workflow and assignments for the Logistics team. Conduct controlled-substance audits, counts, and reconciliations, and maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. Investigate and document discrepancies in controlled-substance inventory and escalate as appropriate. Monitor compliance with logistics procedures and regulatory standards, and recommend process improvements. Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to Logistics Specialist I and II staff. Prepare and review inventory, usage, and compliance reports for logistics leadership. Ensure the security of restricted supplies and areas in accordance with defined company procedures. Safely operate and drive H2H vehicles to and from service areas or in support of company operations. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
Virginia Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification or higher required. 3 years of logistics or supply experience, including experience handling controlled substances, or equivalent experience as a Logistics Specialist II, preferred. Biomedical training to repair equipment such as Stryker, Ferno, Eitan Sapphire IV pumps, and ZOLL devices (including but not limited to these) preferred. Candidates who do not already hold such training are required to obtain it within six months of hire through company-provided training. Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the requirements for coverage under H2H's commercial auto insurance policy, subject to motor vehicle record review and approval. Basic working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft 365. Demonstrated leadership ability and sound judgment in a fast-paced operational environment. Working knowledge of controlled-substance audit, reconciliation, and documentation requirements.
Job Conditions:
All employees, unless able to furnish an accommodation letter, are required to complete field orientation, which may involve stooping, bending, climbing, pushing-pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting as a team. It requires regular lifting of up to 250 pounds as a team, as well as the ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
