Manufacturing Planner (Commercial Airplanes)
Onsite in Puyallup, WA
Pay Rate:
$40 - $48/
Hour Second Shift:
3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
We are hiring a Manufacturing Planner to support commercial aerospace production and build planning activities. This role focuses on manufacturing planning, bill of materials (BOM) management, work instructions, tooling coordination, supplier integration, and production process improvement to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved within a dynamic aircraft manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and manufacturing illustrations to document and support as-built product configurations
Create manufacturing concepts, strategies, and production plans that support program objectives, cost targets, and delivery schedules
Integrate suppliers, manufacturing processes, materials, data, and technology to meet production and delivery requirements
Review and approve supplier documentation to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements and specifications
Develop tooling requirements based on engineering and manufacturing needs
Manage tooling throughout its lifecycle, from initial design through disposition
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing-related issues affecting production performance
Perform producibility assessments on parts, assemblies, and product designs.
Provide manufacturing and producibility input to engineering teams to improve design efficiency, manufacturability, cost, and schedule performance
Develop integrated work statements and production sequencing plans to support delivery commitments
Draft, update, and review manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation to support regulatory and business requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing quality, efficiency, and operational performance
Work under general supervision
Qualifications:
Associates degree and 3+ years of related experience (Or an equivalent combination of education and experience such as Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of experience, or 5+ years of related experience)
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
Experience supporting cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers
Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, or high-volume manufacturing environments
Experience working with sheet metal manufacturing processes and/or machingng commodities
