Job Description

Hiring multiple Inventory & Production Planners for a large tech company in Redmond, WA. Exciting opportunity to work on a large satellite project. If interested, please apply directly. Job Description We are seeking a Production Control Floor Walker to support our fast-paced satellite manufacturing line. The successful candidate will be the first line of support on the production floor, ensuring materials are available, processes flow smoothly, and any blockers are quickly resolved. This role is essential to maintaining on-time production, material availability, and close coordination between production, logistics, and inventory management. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the go-to production control resource on the manufacturing floor.
  • Monitor material shortages, resolve WIP holds, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Coordinate with planning, purchasing, inventory, and quality teams to ensure production continuity.
  • Support production schedule execution by tracking progress and addressing any floor-level disruptions.
  • Manage material flow and staging to production lines in coordination with warehouse/logistics.
  • Ensure transactional accuracy of material movements in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Participate in daily tier meetings, reporting KPIs, blockers, and improvement actions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely communication between cross-functional teams.
  • Champion 5S, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. They've mixed in Controllers (they're floor walkers) but coded as inventory planners Help work through plans and execute, helping leaders move things along. They have material blocks, working with inventory management to get things unblocked, etc. A lot of Tactical work These individuals will be on their feet all day

Ability to deep dive
  • 2+ years of experience in a production control, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience working on or directly supporting a high-mix, low-volume production floor.
  • Ability to navigate between material handlers, planners, engineers, and production techs.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand/walk on the production floor for extended periods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00
