  • Job Title: Drone Logistics Specialist
  • Job Description
  • Join a pioneering drone delivery operation as a Drone Logistics Specialist, providing critical ground support to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable flight operations. In this role, you support the flight crew with mission planning, field operations, and hands-on work with aircraft and flight operations equipment to help deliver packages using cutting-edge drone technology.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Support the flight crew as a Flight Support Assistant, actively participating in crew briefings and mission planning to ensure safe and efficient operations.

+ Prepare for daily flight operations by organizing equipment, materials, and documentation needed for drone missions.

+ Work directly with aircraft and flight operations equipment, ensuring drones and related systems are ready for flight.

+ Assist with the operational activities required to successfully deliver packages via drone, following established procedures and safety protocols.

+ Install and replace drone batteries, and move aircraft to and from the flight line in a safe and controlled manner.

+ Collaborate with the operator in command to complete pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checklists accurately and safely.

+ Contribute to the creation and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ground processes and flight support activities.

+ Perform data entry and documentation related to flight operations, inventory, and logistics activities.

+ Handle materials and manage inventory control for drone supplies and flightline equipment within the warehouse and prep areas.

+ Support shipping and logistics workflows connected to drone operations and supply chain activities.

+ Adhere to aviation and airport operations best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.

+ Maintain eligibility for FAA safety-sensitive duties and follow all required safety protocols.

+ Operate company vehicles safely as needed for ground operations, maintaining a clean driving record.

+ Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required to support specific flights and missions.

+ Travel up to approximately 25% of the time to support flight operations at other locations as needed.

  • Essential Skills
  • + FAA Part 107 drone pilot license.

+ Eligibility for FAA safety-sensitive hire, with adherence to all safety-related requirements.

+ Clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.

+ Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required for specific missions.

+ Hands-on experience or strong aptitude working with drones, aircraft, or flight operations equipment.

+ Basic data entry skills for recording flight, logistics, and inventory information accurately.

+ Mechanical aptitude to handle tasks such as installing batteries and working with aircraft equipment.

+ Ability to perform material handling and inventory control tasks in a warehouse or logistics environment.

+ Understanding of aviation, airport operations, or aircraft operations concepts sufficient to support ground and flightline activities.

+ Ability to follow detailed checklists, SOPs, and safety procedures with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience with basic logistics or warehouse operations.

+ Previous warehouse or logistics experience supporting shipping and supply chain activities.

+ Prior experience in aviation, aerospace, or drone operations.

+ Knowledge of aviation terminology and regulations relevant to drone and flightline operations.

+ Experience working in airport operations or flightline environments.

+ Familiarity with inventory control systems and material handling processes.

+ Comfort working with cutting-edge technology and adapting to new tools and procedures.

+ Strong communication skills to participate effectively in crew briefings and mission planning.

+ Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support operations at different locations.

  • Work Environment
  • The role is based near a major airfield in a large warehouse environment that includes drone supplies, a flightline, and a dedicated prep area.

You will work around active flight operations, aircraft equipment, and logistics infrastructure, supporting both warehouse and outdoor flightline activities. The position typically follows normal daytime hours but requires flexibility to support occasional night or weekend flights and missions. Travel may be required up to approximately 25% of the time to assist operations at other sites. The environment is hands-on, safety-focused, and centered on aviation and drone operations, with an expectation of practical, operational attire suitable for warehouse, flightline, and field work.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $28.

00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
