Gurney Transportation Specialist / Stretcher Transportation First Care Transportation 1 LLC Kenosha, WI Job Details Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication In-person customer service Driver's License Full Job Description Position Summary The Gurney Transport Specialist is responsible for safely transporting patients via stretcher (gurney) to and from hospitals, facilities, and medical appointments. This role requires a high level of reliability, physical capability, and professionalism, as well as the ability to provide safe, respectful assistance to individuals with limited mobility. Key Responsibilities Safely transport patients using a gurney/stretcher to and from medical appointments, discharges, and interfacility transfers Properly secure patients and equipment during transport Assist with lifting, positioning, and transferring patients using safe techniques and equipment Operate transport vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety standards Maintain cleanliness and readiness of vehicles and equipment Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare staff, and patients Complete trip logs, documentation, and required reports accurately and on time Provide compassionate, respectful care to all patients Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to safely lift and maneuver patients (with assistance/equipment) Strong attendance and reliability Good communication and customer service skills Ability to follow directions and work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), EMS, or patient transport CPR and First Aid Certification Experience operating stretcher/gurney equipment
