The SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts that support business planning, inventory optimization, production capacity, and customer service objectives. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Purchasing, and other key stakeholders to translate customer and market demand into an actionable forecast. The Demand Planner plays a key role in the SIOP process by analyzing historical demand, customer forecasts, market trends, business intelligence, and operational constraints to identify risks and opportunities and improve overall forecast accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and communicate short-, medium-, and long-range demand forecasts by customer, product, product family, and/or business segment. Facilitate the demand planning portion of the SIOP process and prepare demand information for SIOP review meetings. Partner with Sales and commercial teams to incorporate customer forecasts, new business, program changes, promotions, market trends, and other demand drivers into the consensus forecast. Analyze historical sales, orders, forecast performance, seasonality, trends, and customer demand patterns. Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and other demand-planning KPIs and recommend actions to improve forecast performance. Identify significant changes in demand and communicate potential impacts to production, capacity, inventory, purchasing, and customer service. Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to align demand forecasts with available capacity, material availability, inventory objectives, and production plans. Develop demand scenarios and sensitivity analyses to support business decisions and capacity planning. Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations that clearly communicate demand trends, forecast performance, risks, and opportunities. Partner with Finance to support alignment between the demand forecast, operating plan, budget, and financial outlook. Drive continuous improvement of SIOP processes, forecasting methodologies, reporting tools, and data integrity. Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, S&OP/SIOP, supply chain, or a related analytical role preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP and demand-planning systems preferred.
APICS/ASCM
certification, such as CPIM or CSCP, is a plus.

Work Environment:
This position is an office-based position. The noise level is usually moderate. However the position does enter the manufacturing/warehouse portion of the facility where the noise level is louder and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required.
