Position Summary The Detail Planner is responsible for developing detailed production work packages that support shipbuilding operations. This position reviews engineering drawings and specifications, develops labor and material estimates, prepares work orders, establishes fabrication and installation requirements, and coordinates with Engineering, Production, Materials, and other stakeholders to ensure planning readiness and successful execution of ship construction activities. Domestic travel may be required. Essential Functions Review drawings and documentation to develop work packages, production requirements, and instructions Prepare labor and material estimates, including requirements for production activities Generate and release work orders including job requirements, material needs, sequencing, and schedule Coordinate with cross functional teams to resolve issues, support fabrication, and improve production Other duties as assigned
