Job Description Position Title:
Material Control Technician Wage:
$20.50- $21.
Shift:

10:45pm- 7:15am (Sunday
- Thursday) Are you simply working for the weekend?
Material Control Technician Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, wash, pick, package, and ship materials in accordance with established procedures
- Load and unload trucks; coordinate dispatch activities
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts
- Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records in system(s)
- Execute inventory transactions related to manufacturing, procurement, and shipping
- Manage Kanban processes and ensure materials are issued using FIFO methodology
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies
- Track and report scrap and material variances
- Maintain required logs, documentation, and reports
- Support 5S initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities (7 wastes)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures Requirements for
Material Control Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Basic computer proficiency (inventory systems, data entry, transactions)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (8
- 10 hours)
- Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and operating equipment
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach as required for material handling tasks
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklift)
- Visual ability to inspect materials and read labels, screens, and documentation
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
- Prior experience in materials handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification) preferred
- Experience with inventory control systems and cycle counting is a plus
