Job Description

You know a turnaround doesn't get delayed because someone forgot the big picture. It gets delayed because the little things aren't where they need to be - the crane that can't get in, the trailer that blocks access, the equipment that arrives two days late. You'll be the person who makes sure those problems never become schedule-killing issues. What you'll do: Build and manage the logistics roadmap for a major refinery turnaround from planning through execution Create site plot plans that keep contractors, equipment, temporary facilities, and staging areas moving efficiently Coordinate the movement of cranes, aerial lifts, generators, and other critical equipment before the work begins Work directly with vendors, contractors, and site teams to solve logistics challenges before they impact the schedule Coordinate services like waste removal, vacuum trucks, hydro-blasting support, sanitation, transportation, and workforce needs Partner with the turnaround scheduler to make sure the logistics plan matches the field execution plan What you get: You'll step into a long-term turnaround assignment where your planning has a direct impact on safety, productivity, and keeping thousands of people moving. This role offers $55-$60/hour, $178/day per diem, travel assistance for mobilization and demobilization, and the chance to be the person everyone relies on when the pressure is on. The planning phase starts with a 40-hour work schedule, with turnaround execution expected to move into an intensive 7-13 schedule.
Who you are:
You've been around refinery or petrochemical turnarounds and understand that logistics is what keeps an outage alive. You're the person who sees problems coming, stays calm when plans change, and knows how to coordinate contractors, vendors, and field teams when the clock is running. You bring 5+ years of turnaround or outage experience and understand what it takes to work safely in a refinery environment. Want the details before you decide anything?
