AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
General Represent Program Engineer in daily/weekly meetings with Purchasing /Production to insure materials related issues are being addressed promptly. Track Metrics in MPE/RFM/IFS and report weekly to Program Engineers. Ensure consistency between engineering departments in scrubbing shortage reports/WPV/Requisitions. Insure MBOMs stay up-to-date in MPE. Run Weekly report to check against issued MBOMs. Identify process improvement opportunities Ensure material requisitions are written to correct activity codes and correct in yard need dates to support program schedule. Assist Program Engineers with metrics development and tracking
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
General High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors' degree in related field preferred. May substitute equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years' experience in developing/reviewing engineering bill of materials and integrating with ERP systems. Knowledge of raw material and equipment used in shipbuilding Excellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrated proficiency in PC skills, Microsoft Office Products, IFS ERP systems, BizFlow, Shipconstructor/AutoCAD and advanced skill in Excel. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
