Position Summary The Logistics Analyst II is responsible for coordinating daily transportation operations to support timely, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of customer orders. The position primarily manages carrier tendering and transportation arrangements, monitors carrier and delivery status, coordinates backup carrier coverage when assigned carriers are unable to fulfill shipments, follows up on proof of delivery and carrier claims, and processes assigned carrier invoices. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan and coordinate daily outbound transportation requirements based on shipment needs and customer delivery requirements. Tender loads to assigned carriers in a timely manner to support on-time pickup and delivery. Monitor carrier tender acceptance and follow up promptly on unaccepted or at-risk shipments. Arrange backup carrier coverage when an assigned carrier falls off, with the objective of securing replacement coverage within six hours. Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholders regarding pickup appointments, delivery schedules, shipment status, and transportation issues. Obtain and maintain proof of delivery (POD) documentation. Identify and escalate transportation issues that may affect customer delivery, customer service, or sales. Follow up on carrier claims when transportation-related issues occur and coordinate with the appropriate parties toward resolution. Maintain accurate and timely shipment and carrier information in the TMS and applicable systems. Apply current knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements, including Hours of Service requirements, when coordinating transportation activities. Support daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling, carrier coordination, and transportation status management. Maintain effective working relationships with carriers and transportation service providers. Identify recurring transportation issues and communicate opportunities for operational improvement. Receive, review, and process assigned carrier invoices accurately within 15 days of receipt. Resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain missing documentation with carriers and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate invoice records and supporting documentation. Support timely carrier payments and assist with freight cost tracking and reporting. Perform other logistics and transportation-related duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. 3 years of hands-on experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics operations Experience with carrier tendering, shipment coordination, and TMS required. Working knowledge of
DOT/FMSCA
requirements, including Hours of Service. Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and accurate records. Experience with freight/carrier invoices, claims, PODs, and shipment tracking preferred. Experience with LTL, truckload, ERP systems, and Excel preferred. Food manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or temperature-controlled logistics experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excel Pay Range:
