Position Overview:
As a Production Control Analyst at SMTC, you'll be responsible for ensuring smooth production through effective utilization of production control and MRP applications. Your role is essential in resolving material shortages, maintaining accurate inventory, and facilitating efficient material flow for timely production.
Primary responsibilities:
Material Management Expert:
Execute material deliveries as per production schedules, expedite material in case of shortages, and coordinate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to resolve material issues, ensuring commitment dates are met.
Collaborative Problem Solver:
Attend meetings and collaborate closely with Customer Focus Teams, offering insights and support to ensure seamless operations.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Develop Excel reports and conduct data analysis to identify and resolve operational and supply chain issues, offering valuable recommendations for improvement.
Inventory Control and Maintenance:
Monitor shop floor cycle counts, verify counts in the MRP system, report discrepancies, and contribute to the resolution process. Maintain and manage sub-assemblies in designated inventory locations, ensuring consistent material flow to production areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma is required. A Bachelor s degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Demonstrated effective communication skills, strong organization, and self-motivation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel, with strong analytical capabilities to prepare and maintain reports. Attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
