Job Description
Materials Coordinator GameChange Energy is one of the fastest growing, most dynamic companies in the booming solar industry. Materials Coordinator Responsibilities:
Enter and maintain purchase orders accurately and efficiently in NetSuite, ensuring SKUs, quantities, pricing, delivery dates, and other required information are complete and accurate. Prepare and process material releases accurately, with particular attention to SKU numbers, quantities, dates, and other required details. Review work for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before finalization. Monitor inbound shipments and ensure materials are accurately received in NetSuite as they are delivered to the warehouse or final destination. Maintain shipment tracking records and promptly update shipment status from containers/in-transit through delivery and receipt. Demonstrate strong ownership and follow-through by proactively managing assigned responsibilities, tracking open items through completion, providing accurate and timely status updates, and identifying or escalating issues before they impact operations. Monitor inventory availability against production schedules, forecasts, and material requirements, proactively identifying potential shortages or supply constraints and communicating risks to the appropriate teams. Perform detailed inventory and SKU reconciliation by comparing NetSuite records with physical warehouse inventory, inbound shipments, purchase orders, receipts, transfers, and other inventory transactions. Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and drive outstanding items through final resolution. Track and coordinate the movement of materials between vendors, warehouses, production facilities, and other locations, ensuring inventory transfers and associated system transactions are completed accurately. Coordinate with vendors, warehouses, and internal teams regarding material availability, storage, deliveries, transfers, and shipment priorities. Develop and maintain reports and tracking tools that provide visibility into inventory levels, open purchase orders, inbound materials, discrepancies, and other key supply chain metrics. Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reconciliation processes, reporting, and overall materials management efficiency.Materials Coordinator Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. 2+ years of experience in inventory management, materials coordination, procurement, supply chain, or a related analytical role preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, data validation, and reconciliation and analysis of large datasets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, recognize trends, and recommend corrective actions. Experience performing inventory reconciliation and working with inventory, purchasing, receiving, and shipment data. Experience working with ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with SKUs, quantities, purchase orders, inventory transactions, and material releases. Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with demonstrated ability to independently manage recurring responsibilities and follow open items through final resolution. Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and accurate status updates and proactively communicate potential issues. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Vendors, and Warehouse teams. Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend more efficient ways of managing inventory and materials. Prior solar energy or manufacturing experience is a plus.
