Talascend is currently seeking a Materials Planning Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida . Overview This role involves managing materials planning processes within a manufacturing environment, focusing on inventory analysis, supply chain coordination, and ensuring the availability of materials to meet operational needs. The analyst will work cross-functionally to resolve supply issues and optimize material flow. Responsibilities Analyze material inventory position, shortages, and supply risks Investigate and resolve material-related issues caused by supply disruptions Monitor shortage reports, open demand, and past due materials Coordinate daily with procurement, operations, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams to understand and resolve material shortages Escalate critical shortages with clear communication and recommended actions Develop and maintain reports, trackers, and analysis to improve material visibility, shortage management, and operational decision making Ensure execution of critical tasks to support shop performance and customer satisfaction Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of experience in planning Experience with MRP/ERP systems and SAP Experience in manufacturing planning Proficiency in Microsoft Office (namely Excel, Access, Power BI) Preferred Qualifications 2-year degree Ability to work independently and take direction from others Established skills and experience in materials management/planning Detail-oriented with high accuracy of work Strong priority setting, sense of urgency, and timing skills We thank all applicants for their interest.
