612 227 6594 email: michael@hradvantagesearch.com Supply Chain Analyst Position Summary The SPC Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing supply chain activities across intercompany orders, demand planning, order management, inventory management, transportation, and financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and how decisions within one function impact the broader site, manufacturing operations, distribution network, customer service, and financial performance . The position works with complex, time-sensitive, and sometimes urgent supply chain issues that require strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in SAP and other enterprise systems , possess strong data analytics capabilities, and be able to investigate complex situations, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions. The analyst is expected to work independently within established guidelines, prioritize competing demands, utilize data and system information to support decisions, and share best practices and technical knowledge across the work group. Key Responsibilities Manage intercompany orders , including international orders between internal plants and distribution centers, from order entry through fulfillment. Monitor and manage order inquiries, change requests, exceptions, and other order-related issues. Investigate order status and identify root causes of delays, shortages, shipment discrepancies, and other supply chain exceptions. Resolve shipment discrepancies and coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Investigate and resolve back-order situations , considering inventory availability, production requirements, transportation, customer needs, and overall site priorities. Analyze complex and urgent supply chain issues and determine appropriate actions while considering the impact on the entire site and end-to-end supply chain . Develop, maintain, and manage reporting processes supporting demand planning, order management, inventory management, supply planning, and financial reporting . Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, gaps, risks, opportunities, and potential process improvements. Utilize data analytics and data-science techniques to interpret information, identify relationships between variables, draw conclusions, and evaluate alternative solutions. Use SAP-ERP and other enterprise systems to research transactions, analyze supply and inventory information, monitor orders, and support operational decision-making. Utilize supply chain tracking systems and reporting tools to monitor progress, communicate status, and report results. Follow established procedures and best practices across functional disciplines, including: Supply planning Demand planning Warehousing Transportation Inventory/materials control Import/export Order management Customer service Financial/supply chain reporting Understand how changes in supply, inventory, orders, transportation, and material availability can affect manufacturing, warehouse operations, customer service, financial performance, and overall site objectives . Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues and improve processes. Identify opportunities to improve data quality, system utilization, reporting accuracy, and supply chain processes. Provide best-practice sharing, technical knowledge, and process expertise within the work group. Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, process evaluation, and root-cause analysis. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience working with SAP ERP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system. Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including experience working with complex data and enterprise systems. Experience with supply chain processes such as planning, inventory management, order management, warehousing, transportation, materials management, and/or import/export. Strong understanding of how supply chain activities interact across an entire site or operation. Ability to analyze complex and urgent issues, identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and implement appropriate solutions. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel , Word, PowerPoint, and Access or comparable data-management tools. Ability to clearly speak, understand, read, and write English to communicate effectively in verbal and written contexts. Preferred Qualifications Experience in data analytics, data science, computer science, or supply chain analytics . Advanced SAP experience, including the ability to research transactions, analyze data, troubleshoot process issues, and understand system dependencies. Experience with supply chain planning or analytics systems such as JDA or comparable planning platforms. Experience developing or maintaining supply chain dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical tools. Experience using data to identify trends, forecast potential issues, and support operational decisions. Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Python, statistical analysis, or other analytical technologies is a plus. Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or complex multi-site supply chain environment. Required Skills and Competencies Supply Chain Expertise Strong working knowledge of supply planning, demand planning, inventory/materials control, warehousing, transportation, order management, and related supply chain processes. Ability to understand the full supply chain process rather than a single functional area . Ability to recognize how an individual supply chain decision can affect other functions and overall site performance. Technical & Analytical Skills Strong SAP experience and ability to navigate enterprise systems to research and resolve issues. Strong data analysis and interpretation skills. Ability to examine multiple variables, identify relationships, draw conclusions, and assess alternative methods. Ability to work with large or complex datasets and translate data into actionable information. Strong computer skills and ability to learn and utilize new technologies and systems. Understanding of data science and analytical concepts is preferred. Problem Solving Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage complex, urgent, and time-sensitive supply chain issues . Ability to prioritize competing requirements based on business and site impact. Demonstrated ability to work independently while operating within established procedures and guidelines. Communication & Collaboration Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical and analytical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to collaborate effectively across supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, finance, customer service, and other functional teams. Pay:
$27.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
