- Palatine Compensation At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $116,534
- $154,413.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Flow & Operations- Own all of the material flows from receiving and internal fabrication to line side consumption points within the value stream.
- Manage line side moving and storing of materials, ensuring FIFO, ergonomic placement, and flow efficiency.
- Ensure all daily value stream material transactions are completed with accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee the delivery of completed units to Shipping, ensuring proper documentation and flow timing.
- Maintain dimensions and weights documentation for all necessary materials within the value stream. Inventory Accuracy & Transaction Compliance
- Ensure Material Transaction Compliance for supermarket materials, receiving drop zones, and production lines.
- Lead material transaction mistake-proofing systems to eliminate defects and data integrity issues.
- Conduct and oversee cycle counting activities and participate as required in PI (Physical Inventory) counts.
- Own minimarket (VS supermarket) inventory controls, replenishment accuracy, and overall inventory health.
- Work with operations to develop and maintain material Kanbans to support production. Problem Solving & Issue Resolution
- Lead root cause problem solving for missing parts, inventory discrepancies, and material shortages.
- Drive short-term containment and long-term countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
- Achieve 100% material availability through proactive visibility, escalation, and cross-functional collaboration. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with warehouse managers and material handlers to ensure kitting readiness and flow stability (material handlers own the physical kitting activity).
- Collaborate with production, planning, supermarkets, and logistics teams to maintain synchronized operations.
- Support team members with material-related needs, communication, and continuous improvement activities. Schedule & Execution
- Execute daily and weekly schedules aligned with production needs and material availability.
- Monitor and adjust material flow strategies based on changes in demand, schedule shifts, or operational constraints. Compliance

- Familiarity with ERP systems, material transactions, and inventory control processes. What you'll need to succeed: Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- ASCM Certification (CSCP, CTSC or CPIM)
- 7+ years of experience in material management, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical and root cause problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, material transactions, and inventory control processes.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic warehousing initiatives, including inventory accuracy improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, warehouse optimization and supply chain best practices
- Experience managing both internal and external warehousing operations including 3PL partnerships.
- Sound business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.
- Great communication skills, (written, verbal, listening and presentation) able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels from management to support staff. Creative and persuasive in communicating how interventions can improve current practices.
- Sound interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, including the flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
- Great organizational, planning, and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources and juggling key demands.
- Sound leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, mentor, and delegate to deliver results, build teams and capabilities, embrace change, drive decisions and results, embrace culture and inclusion, and exhibit integrity.
- Great computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI. Experience with developing or using digital tools. Preferred
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of LEAN / Six-Sigma methodologies.
- Six-Sigma certification (Green / Yellow / Black Belt)
- Experience using Oracle
