Job Description

Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,800 employees and an annual output of approximately 300,000 tons of specialty steels. Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods, with the expressed goal of satisfying the most sophisticated needs of the customer. To that end, Valbruna is constantly updating its production capabilities and experience.
Job Summary:
The Inventory Administrator serves to ensure effective supply chain management and customer satisfaction by maintaining accurate inventory records and processing inventory related transactions.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares documents for and processes the receiving all VSSI and external suppliers for all VSI branches. Maintains Purchase Order information for all VSSI and external suppliers. Ensures the smooth movement of materials in the company's inventory management system (MCMS), including inventory and the preparation of part numbers, product codes, and freight codes. Assists branches with inventory tracking issues as needed. Distributes shipping related documents to the appropriate branches. Compiles information from shipping records and monitors materials in transit, communicating to branches as necessary. Compiles inventory records for scanning
Required Skills/Abilities:
Data management skills: the ability to use statistical analysis tools as well as the ability to interpret and communicate the results of the analysis. Good analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong understanding of supply chain processes and industry trends.
A continuous improvement mindset:
identifying and implementing ways to continuously improve reliability.
Education and Experience:
A High School Diploma as well as two years' experience in an inventory management-related position are required. Metals industry experience is desired. U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required due to ITAR and EAR regulations.
