ORA_ON_SITE Description SAIC is seeking a Logistics Support III to support our team in Indianapolis, IN.
Duties:
Researching and identifying potential suppliers, assessing their quality, reliability, and pricing. Preparing and processing purchase orders, requisitions, bids, and allocating bank statements. Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with suppliers. Generate and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and production records. This includes compiling weekly status reports and ensuring compliance with procurement requirements. Oversee receiving and distribution of materials to ensure that production processes run smoothly. Work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and engineering to coordinate the efficient flow of materials and ensure that all departments have the necessary resources. Prepare and manage shipping schedules, evaluate production schedules, and determine material requirements to ensure availability. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
Qualifications Required Education and Qualifications:
Bachelors and 5 years or more of related experience. An Interim Secret clearance is required to begin working. US Citizenship required. Procurement or accounting experience required. Excellent communications skills; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively; excellent Microsoft Office experience. Materials management, Customer focused, Cash handling, Shipping/Receiving, Create and follow processes for above.
