Title:
Logistics Intern (Multiple Semesters Required)
Location:
Independence, MO Salary:
$25.00 / hour for undergraduate students; $33.00 / hour for graduate students
Focus:
The Logistics Intern will support transportation, shipping, and supply chain operations by assisting with shipment coordination, documentation, tracking, and logistics reporting. This role provides hands-on experience in logistics planning, transportation management, and inventory movement while working closely with operations, warehouse, procurement, and customer teams.
What You'll Do:
Assist with coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to support business and customer requirements Help maintain shipment schedules and assist with transportation planning activities Analyze logistics data and prepare reports related to shipping costs, carrier performance, and delivery metrics Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and service levels Support special projects and other logistics-related assignments as needed
What You'll Bring:
Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or business-related degree program (or pending enrollment in a Master's program in one of these disciplines) Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations. Ability to work continuously throughout the year, can be part-time (20 hours per week) while taking classes. Not eligible for virtual work. Experience in ammunition and firearms with a knowledge of shooting sports industry is preferred Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 completed credit hours) prior to first rotation with Olin Must possess a valid US Driver's license This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with the U.S.
