Job Description

Role Summary The Demand Planning Analyst provides analytical and operational support to the Demand Planning team by developing baseline forecasts, analyzing demand trends, maintaining planning data, and preparing reports and insights that support the monthly demand consensus process. Working closely with the Senior Demand Planners, this role enables the team to focus on strategic forecasting, stakeholder engagement, and ownership of the overall demand plan. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoys turning data into actionable insights that improve forecast accuracy and business decision-making.

Main Tasks Develop and maintain baseline statistical forecasts using historical sales, seasonality, and demand trends. Analyze forecast performance, identify root causes of forecast variances, and recommend improvements. Prepare monthly demand planning reports including forecast tracking, as well as KPI metrics including forecast accuracy and bias. Support the monthly Demand Consensus process by preparing data, analyses, and presentation materials. Maintain forecast master data, planning parameters, and data integrity within SAP. Help perform customer, product, and market demand analyses to identify emerging trends and business risks. Support new product launches, product transitions, and product discontinuations from a demand planning perspective. Develop and automate reporting using Excel, Power BI, and other emerging AI-enabled analytical tools. Partner with Supply Planning, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure planning data is accurate and complete. Recommend process improvements that increase forecasting efficiency and reduce manual work. Provide ad hoc analyses and decision support for Senior Demand Planners and leadership. Your Profile
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, forecasting, business analytics, or a related analytical role. Advanced to Expert Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Preferred Experience with
SAP S/4HANA, SAP
IBP, or similar planning systems. Experience using Power BI. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and SIOP processes. Success Measures Improved forecast accuracy and reduced forecast bias. Timely completion of monthly forecasting activities. High-quality analytical support for Senior Demand Planners. Increased automation and reporting efficiency. Accurate and reliable planning data. Identification of demand risks and opportunities before they impact the business.
