Payrate- $22-26 / hour Schedule- 7 to 3:30 with a 30-minute lunch from 11:30 to 12. Temp to Hire Position Overview
The Materials Analyst is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient material flow throughout warehouse and production operations. This role ensures all inventory transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and analyzed while supporting inventory control processes, cycle counting activities, reporting, and operational improvements. The Materials Analyst serves as a key liaison between warehouse, production, and inventory control teams to ensure inventory integrity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control
Process incoming materials and maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management system
Track material movements between warehouse and production locations, ensuring inventory traceability and accurate documentation
Issue and maintain inventory tags, warehouse locations, and inventory adjustments as needed
Research, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged inventory, and transaction variances
Inventory Reconciliation & Reporting
Reconcile daily warehouse and production transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
Prepare inventory pick lists and support material availability for operations
Conduct weekly cycle counts and assist with month-end and quarterly inventory reconciliation activities
Generate inventory reports and support inventory-related audits, investigations, and special projects
Collaboration & Compliance
Communicate inventory issues, shortages, and discrepancies with warehouse, production, and management teams
Ensure compliance with company inventory control procedures, policies, and operational standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
Perform other duties as assigned to support Manufacturing and corporate objectives
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Experience with inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
Understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse processes
