Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee the medical courier contract operations within our supply chain and logistics framework. In this role, you will lead the management of contractual relationships, ensure compliance with healthcare and transportation regulations, and optimize service delivery for medical courier services. Your expertise will drive process improvements, foster vendor relationships, and support seamless coordination across multiple departments to uphold the highest standards of efficiency and quality in medical transportation logistics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical healthcare logistics while leveraging your skills in procurement, supply chain management, and contract negotiation. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the entire lifecycle of the medical courier contract, including negotiations, renewals, and compliance monitoring. Coordinate with procurement teams and drivers to ensure daily delivery of specified items without fail. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, the Privacy Act, PII, PHI, CUI, specimen security, installation rules, and the Statement of Work. Respond to driver absences, vehicle breakdowns, accidents, base closures, weather events, exercises, and alerts. Maintain driver, vehicle, insurance, training, pickup, delivery, and incident records. Develop and implement process improvements within the contract scope to enhance delivery efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. Analyze transportation data using tools such as Tableau, SQL, and Excel to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for optimization. Collaborate with warehouse distribution teams to streamline transportation & receiving processes related to medical supplies and specimens. Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and healthcare-specific shipping requirements. Maintain detailed documentation of vendor performance, contract terms, pricing structures, and service level agreements (SLAs). Lead cross-functional communication efforts among logistics, procurement, warehouse operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution. Conduct analysis skills-based reviews of freight costs, demand planning forecasts, inventory control metrics, and supply chain analytics to inform strategic decisions. Requirements Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a focus on logistics management or contract oversight within healthcare or medical courier services. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, inventory management systems, and materials handling procedures. Demonstrated expertise in procurement practices such as sourcing, vendor management, negotiation skills, and category management. Proficiency with any of the following data analysis tools: Tableau, SQL, Excel data analysis techniques (spreadsheets), and ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent. Familiarity with transportation planning systems such as TMS or other transportation management software. Ability to perform root cause analysis for process issues related to freight costs or delivery delays; experience with process improvement methodologies is preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts or manual handling techniques is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration across logistics management, customer service, trade compliance, and international trade regulations. Must be able to communicate excellently in English. Knowledge of healthcare-specific shipping requirements including HIPAA and transporting hazardous materials. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in contract documentation and vendor performance tracking. Ability to obtain access to Holloman AFB.
