Summary of Position An established company within the home furnishings industry is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to support inventory replenishment, planning, and forecasting. In this role, you will maintain data integrity within our ERP/MRP system to support accurate forecasting, purchase requisitions, and purchase order management. You will monitor daily sales and inventory activity, identify emerging trends, mitigate supply chain risks, and investigate discrepancies to maintain optimal stock levels across all facilities. You will work alongside a cross-functional network of Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Sales, and overseas teams to leverage inventory insights for actionable business recommendations. Advanced Excel skills, absolute attention to detail, and prior experience in an ERP/MRP environment are essential for success. Key Responsibilities Track and analyze historical sales, current demand, seasonal trends, lead times, and inventory movement to identify future requirements. Optimize inventory flow by monitoring stock availability, requesting purchase requisitions, and adjusting purchase order schedules to prevent disruptions. Execute daily data updates and parameter audits within ERP/MRP system to ensure real-time accuracy for planning and forecasting. Partner with Purchasing and Logistics to evaluate lead times and anticipated product availability. Monitor inbound inventory and changing shipment schedules to identify potential effects on product availability and replenishment plans. Manage warehouse inventory allocations by adjusting open purchase orders routing from overseas vendors and coordinating domestic transfers to keep stock balanced across all facilities. Drive overall inventory efficiency by identifying trends to maximize inventory turns, reduce excess stock or aging stock and minimize stock-out risks. Manage daily overseas communications regarding order status, production tracking, lead-time changes and other critical supply chain variables. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, analytics, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory analysis, inventory control, supply chain, demand planning, wholesale distribution, logistics, or a related analytical role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and manipulating large datasets). Proven experience using ERP/MRP systems for inventory, purchasing, or forecasting. Experience with
SAP S4/HANA
is a plus. Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying trends and investigating data discrepancies. Prior experience supporting inventory across multiple warehouse locations preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional network. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced wholesale, distribution, and import environment. Work Environment & Schedule This is a full-time, in-person position requiring regular on-site attendance.
Compensation & Benefits Starting Salary:
