- Set strategy for the materials organization
- Lead inbound and outbound shipments for the facility
- Lead for materials planning and scheduling for the facility
- Lead for all internal material movement
- Responsible for inventory management
- Responsible for all inventory movement equipment
- Prioritize and organize short term and long term goals and activities in accordance with business objectives
- Identify and address opportunities for improvement relative to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics and personnel development.
- Managing supplier relationships
- Lead capital projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Lead process implementation, process optimization, root cause analysis, and capacity increases
- Facilitate projects and teach / mentor / train shop floor teams to ensure materials team operates in World Class fashion
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to drive solutions.
- Develop team in advanced problem-solving and skill training
- Support building and operating a highly automated facility
- Work effectively with your peers to share knowledge and leverage strengths
- Utilize excellent communication and documentation skills to transfer critical processes and support knowledge to others
- Lead and promote the use of kaizen activities
- Work with the procurement team and supplier quality on cost and quality projects ## Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's Degree engineering, logistics, materials or related business management field
- 5+ years manufacturing experience ## Preferred skills and experiences
- Operations management, logistics, supply chain, Industrial Engineering, or similar degree preferred
- Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and SAP
- Strong understanding of lean principles and methodologies with a proven track record in driving continuous improvement via lean tools
- Experience in World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Logistics (LCS)
- Experience with
AGC / AGV
technology- Experience setting up new processes and optimizing existing processes.
- Experience leading teams
- Drive initiatives to support change in the plant
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
