Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Piking Packing Plane Problem Solver to join our supply chain operations team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of optimizing packing plans and resolving complex logistical challenges related to warehouse distribution and transportation planning. Your expertise will ensure efficient packing strategies, minimize waste, and improve overall process flow. Responsibilities Analyze packing plans and identify issues related to piking (picking) and packing plane configurations, ensuring optimal use of warehouse space and resources Collaborate with procurement, warehouse management, and logistics teams to resolve packing discrepancies and streamline operations Utilize data analysis skills, SQL, Excel, and warehouse management systems to collect, interpret, and report on packing performance metrics Develop root cause analysis for packing inefficiencies or errors, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence Coordinate with transportation management systems (TMS), freight providers, and 3PL partners to optimize shipping logistics and order fulfillment processes Support process improvement initiatives by evaluating current packing procedures and recommending enhancements for efficiency and cost savings Engage in cross-functional communication with sourcing, vendor management, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on packaging standards and delivery timelines Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations, or logistics roles with a focus on packing or inventory control Strong data collection and analysis skills using tools such as Excel data analysis, spreadsheets, SQL, and ERP systems like AS400 or SAP Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and inventory management systems Knowledge of procurement processes, category management, trade compliance, and international trade regulations Hands-on experience with forklift operation, manual handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling equipment Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively Excellent communication skills for collaborating across functions such as sourcing, freight planning, customer service, and vendor management Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel for data analysis; experience with ERP systems like AS400 is preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management, stocking strategies, demand planning, and production planning Join us if you're passionate about solving complex packing plane problems through innovative solutions!
