Full Job Description Job Title:
Procurement and Logistics Analyst - 26-00249 The Professional Division of Spherion Mid-Ohio is partnered with an established and growing company seeking a Procurement and Logistics Analyst . This position is based in Columbus, Ohio , and offers a competitive salary range of $75K to $100K +Bonus based on background and experience. Come join their team! •This is a direct-hire opportunity! Position Overview:
The Procurement and Logistics Analyst will help manage and analyze more than $30 million in annual material and capital expenditures. This position will use purchasing data, supplier metrics, and market research to identify cost savings, improve vendor performance, and support strategic sourcing decisions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across Finance, Operations, and other departments. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze purchasing activity to identify spending trends and cost-saving opportunities Create procurement reports, dashboards, and performance metrics Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery, and service Monitor vendor performance and recommend corrective actions or improvements Assist with supplier selection, sourcing initiatives, and contract negotiations Support the development of purchasing strategies and sourcing plans Partner with Finance and Operations to forecast material and purchasing needs Maintain supplier records, contracts, pricing information, and procurement documentation Help ensure purchasing activities follow company policies and applicable requirements Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing and logistics processes Assist with developing the annual budget for assigned expenses Balance multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field Two to five years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, finance, logistics, or supply chain analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience working with purchasing data, reporting, or performance metrics Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to build effective relationships with internal departments and external vendors Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Experience:
Strategic sourcing or supplier evaluation Contract administration or negotiation support Procurement reporting and dashboard development Budgeting, forecasting, or spend analysis Process improvement within purchasing, logistics, or supply chain operations
Schedule and Location:
