The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for performing physical inventory counts throughout the warehouse and production areas, maintaining accurate inventory records, and identifying and researching inventory variances. This position will work closely with Purchasing, Operations, Production, and other departments to help maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure the inventory system reflects actual on-hand quantities. The majority of the time worked will be spent on the plant floor and in the warehouse. This position requires adherence to all company safety policies and the proper use of required PPE while performing physical inventory counts.

This position requires a highly motivated individual who is looking to expand their knowledge and join a successful company. This role requires work to be split between the warehouse and the office. Purchasing Monitor inventory levels and product usage to determine material needs.
Place purchase orders directly with approved vendors based on inventory usage, established inventory levels, and operational needs.
Responsible for in-house aluminum purchasing.
Review historical usage and current inventory levels to determine appropriate order quantities.
Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with vendors as needed regarding order status and expected delivery.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Review purchase orders and vendor credits when researching inventory discrepancies.
Identify and communicate purchasing or inventory issues that may impact operations.
Work with vendors to resolve quantity discrepancies, damaged material, shortages, credits, and other purchasing-related issues.
Enter and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory information in the computer/ERP system.
Ensure purchased materials and quantities align with operational needs while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. Inventory Perform daily cycle counts of inventory according to established schedules.
Perform physical counts throughout the warehouse and production areas while following all required PPE and safety procedures.
Enter physical inventory counts accurately into the computer/ERP system.
Compare physical counts to system quantities and identify variances.
Research inventory variances by reviewing purchase orders, vendor credits, and other transactions that have not yet been processed.
Communicate significant or recurring inventory discrepancies to management.
Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records throughout the warehouse and production areas.
Work with appropriate personnel regarding damaged or bad-quality products and inventory discrepancies.
Provide timely and relevant inventory information to Operations Management and other appropriate teams.
Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory counts and variances.
Receiving / Inventory
Verification Assist with verifying quantities of materials and inventory as needed.
Perform physical counts and verify quantities against applicable documentation.
Assist in identifying discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
Verify inventory information against purchase orders, vendor credits, and other applicable records.
Enter accurate inventory information into the computer/ERP system. Other Duties Provide clerical support related to purchasing, inventory, and vendor activities.
Maintain organized and accurate inventory and purchasing records.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Follow all required PPE and warehouse safety requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills You Bring:
Commitment to safe work practices
Ability and willingness to work in a warehouse and production environment
Ability to wear and properly use required PPE
Basic skills with office equipment (computer, copier, printers, etc.)
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to perform repetitive physical counts and remain focused on accuracy
Prior experience in manufacturing inventory or a related field preferred
Basic understanding of inventory control and inventory transactions preferred
Experience with an ERP/MRP system preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft AX Dynamics preferred
