Join the Oregon Steel Mills team in Portland as a Planning Analyst . Base salary starts at $75,000 per year with monthly incentive bonus opportunities. In this dynamic and critical role, you will align production strategies with market demands to optimize manufacturing efficiency and ensure seamless operational flow. Full-time onsite presence is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
RFQ Management:
Oversee the intake and processing of commercial Requests for Quote (RFQs).Order Review:
Validate incoming orders against inventory capacity and manufacturing constraints prior to acceptance.Demand Optimization:
Map customer demand to optimal raw material SKUs to minimize conversion costs and maximize yield.Business Intelligence:
Develop reports, KPIs, and data analyses to support Business Unit objectives.Inventory Control:
Manage finished goods stock levels, evaluate SKU turnover, and optimize inventory health.Financial Modeling:
Analyze the financial impact of various scheduling options and present recommendations to leadership.Strategic Scheduling:
Identify customer ordering patterns to improve predictability and scheduling efficiency.Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.Experience:
3-5 years in production planning, supply chain, or data analytics.Technical Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; SQL and ERP implementation experience, preferred.Soft Skills:
Exceptional cross-functional communication and data-driven critical thinking.Adaptability:
