Job Summary Plans, schedules and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers | Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering | Develops specifications for new contract orders Impact of the Role General Profile Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures Entry level to a business support career progression Performs manual tasks according to established procedures Essential Functions Performs clerical duties associated with Materials Planning & Scheduling Performs clerical functions to assist material planners in coordinating raw materials for efficient production. Uses systems to monitor and track materials from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. Inputs material needs, including all codes, brands, and contact information necessary to process orders in system or database. Tracks and develops reports to monitor performance metrics such as inventory levels, scheduled deliveries, and supplier performance. Additional Responsibilities Computer experience a must & be able to create storeroom part numbers, locations, inventory adj., & min/max levels for business needs | Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift hours | Team player | Fast learner, able to multitask, look up/order parts quickly as issues arise, clean work area & organized Required Qualifications Required education and experience: High School Diploma/GED required and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Organizational skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
