This role coordinates the timely and accurate processing, documentation, and movement of all import orders. You'll support internal operations with your importing and logistics aptitude while serving as a central point of contact among vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams. This position reports to the Operations Director. Position Summary Prepare, review, and coordinate commercial documents for the import of product (commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and any other applicable documents for USD customs compliance). Issue domestic and import manufacturing PO's accurately and in a timely manner. Serve as liaison for manufacturer/vendor communications as they relate to customer, shipping, and production requirements. Coordinate product testing and inspections with manufacturers to meet customer timelines and requirements. Track and report on inbound shipments, coordinating with the logistics team to ensure accuracy of shipments and inventory movements. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of customer requirements as denoted in the respective vendor guides. Assist with the preparation of freight quotes as needed in a timely manner. Skills Analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Possesses exemplary transactional skills in purchase order issuance using an ERP system. Understanding of US Customs, US importing, and customer requirements as they relate to shipping, testing and inspections. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in diverse group settings, coordinating effectively across vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments. Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with ERP systems required; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience is preferred. Qualifications Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field plus a minimum 3 years previous import/purchasing experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
